Pass the License is a free place to study for insurance and securities licensing exams. Prep courses can cost hundreds of dollars, and a lot of free practice material online is thin, outdated, or missing explanations. We wanted something better that anyone can use.

Built by someone who took the exams

Pass the License was started by a licensed financial professional who holds life, health, property, casualty, and securities licenses. Every question has an explanation, because knowing why an answer is right is what gets you through the real test. State law questions link to the statute, regulation, or insurance department page they come from.

How the site stays free

Pass the License is supported by advertising. There are no accounts, paywalls, or upsells for the practice tests.
